Even though we know that dark circles are visible with ageing, most of us feel awful once it appears on the face and try to get rid of it. This is because it makes one look exhausted, unhealthy, tired or aged. Actually, dark circles under eyes are nothing but the dark discoloration of the skin and it had never been a serious skin issue. 1.) Use Cucumber Slice and Cucumber Juice

Cucumber is the right and quick solution for removing dark circles under the eye. It has astringent as well as skin lightening properties. All you need to do is to cut thick slices from a fresh cucumber and refrigerate for half an hour. Now, place the slices on your dark skin area for 10-15 minutes and wash the eyes with plain water.

Instead of cucumber slices, you can also use the mixed juice of cucumber and lemon in equal quantity. Dip the cotton balls in the juice and keep it on the dark circles. Wash off the eyes after 12-15 minutes. If you continue this treatment at least for 7 days, you will surely notice the difference in the darkness and puffiness around your eyes.

2.) Potatoes Juice and Slice

Potatoes have natural bleaching agents and help lighten the dark circle. Puffiness around the eyes also gets removed by application of potato. In order to extract the juices, you need to take one or two chilled potatoes and grate well. Next, moisten two cotton balls in the potato juice and put on the closed eyes. It should cover the eyelid as well as the dark circles. Keep it for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse with cool water properly. Apply a cream on the dark skin. Instead of juices, sliced thick potatoes can also be applied to get the same benefit.

3.) Tomato Juice to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes

Tomatoes also help lighten the skin color. One teaspoon of tomato juice is required to be mixed with one teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply the mixture on the dark area gently and keep it for ten minutes before rinsing with clean water. Use it twice a day to get desired effect. You can also get the same result in case you drink tomato juice along with some mint leaves, lemon juice and salt on a daily basis. But, make sure to use the juice immediately after preparing it to get best result.

4.) Use Tannic Acid From Apple

Cut a ripe apple into thick pieces and keep the slices under the eyes for half an hour. Not only the tannic acid helps reduce the dark tone, the potassium and vitamins in apple also nourishes the gentle skin around your eyes.

After half an hour, wash the area well with clean water and use cream. You can also use a paste of green apple to get a similar effect. Just place it under the eye and keep for half an hour before washing with lukewarm water.

5.) Massage With Almond Oil

Almond Oil is also an effective natural product which help reduce the dark tone around your eyes. Regular usage of almond oil before you go to bed, will help reduce the darkness substantially. Just take a little bit of the oil and massage the dark areas with the oil gently. Allow it to stay overnight and wash with cold water in the morning. 6.) Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes with Rose Water

As we all know, rose-water have excellent skin care properties and been in use since ages. Just take a cotton pad to get it soaked in rose-water and put it on your closed eyes for fifteen minutes. It has a soothing effect and help rejuvenate the delicate skin around your eyes. This remedy is able to vanish the dark circles entirely, if applied twice daily for a few weeks.

7.) Use Mint Leaves to Lighten the Dark Circles Under Eyes

Mint leaves are also very effective in removing dark circles in a natural way. It also gives cooling effect to the skin. Crush a few mint leaves gently and place it around the eyes for five to ten minutes. After that, remove it off gently using clean and cold cloth. It helps remove the darkness almost completely. Apart from using the crushed leaves, you can also make a paste with tomato juice and apply around the affected area. Keep it for a few minutes and wash the area properly with cold water.

8.) Vitamin C in Lemon Juice Will Help

The bleaching effect of vitamin C in Lemon juice is also quite effective in removing the dark circles. Fresh juices can be applied using cotton balls around the eyes and washed off after ten minutes. Another way to use the lemon juices is to make a thick paste with one teaspoon of lemon juice, one teaspoon of tomato puree, little bit of gram flour and turmeric powder. Place it nicely around the eyes and rinse off after ten minutes with clean water. Use it repeatedly for twice or thrice a week and you will surely achieve your goal successfully.

9.) Turmeric to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes

These two incredible properties of turmeric are quite well-known and can be used effectively to remove the awful dark circles around the eyes. Make a thick paste of turmeric powder and pineapple juice and use the paste on the dark areas. After about ten minutes, wipe it out using soft and damp cloth. Apart from removing the dark circles, it will also help the skin look smoother and softer. Continue using it daily till you get the desired result.

10.) Use Cold Water to Get Rid of Dark Circles Under Eyes

Cold water can also help to reduce puffiness and dark circles as it helps constrict the blood vessels under the eyes. Soak a washcloth in cold water or cold milk and place it on the closed eyelid for a few minutes. Instead of water or milk, you can also try ice cubes, wrapped in a soft napkin or a bag of frozen peas, a chilled teabag or a cold spoon. Repeat the process thrice or four times daily for a few weeks and notice the improvement.

All these are very effective natural and homemade methods to tackle the dark circle problem. However, in case you don’t observe any improvement, better to consult the doctor and get treated properly.
