Natural Remedies to Bleach Hair at Home:
1.) Chamomile Tea to Bleach Hair at Home:
Chamomile tea is a natural lightening agent. It works on the color pigment of the hair and lightens it. If you are in a mood to save all your bucks and you don’t have chamomile tea at home just replace it with black tea.
Steps to Follow:
- Mix chamomile tea or black tea in a pot of water.
- Heat the pot of water for about half an hour.
- Allow the tea to brew well and then leave it to cool down.
- After the water has cooled down, add 5 to 6 tablespoons of this water to your conditioner.
- Leave it for atleast 10 minutes.
- Wash your hair with your regular shampoo and then use this newly prepared conditioner.
- Within 3 weeks you will see the result of this application.
2.) Henna Powder to Bleach Hair at Home:
You must have heard about the magics of henna powder from your grandmother. Since ages henna is being used for hair coloring. It not only bleaches hair but is also an excellent conditioner for hair. It has lightening as well as nourishing properties.
Steps to Follow:
- Mix equal parts of chamomile powder and henna powder.
- Mix this mixture with boiling water and heat it.
- Allow the mixture to cool down and apply it on your hair.
- Use a comb to apply the mixture evenly on your hair.
- Wrap your hair with a shower cap or a towel to avoid drying.
- Leave it for 1 or 2 hours.
- Rinse your hair with water and then use your normal shampoo.
3.) Honey and Vinegar to Bleach Hair at Home:
Honey is 100% safe and has natural lightening properties. It bleaches hair well and also nourishes it. The best thing about using honey is that the pH balancing properties of honey suits all hair types and textures.
Steps to Follow:
- Mix 2 cups of vinegar and one cup of organic vinegar together.
- Add one tablespoon each of olive oil and ground cardamom.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- Apply this prepared mixture on damp hair for better absorption.
- Use coloring brush to evenly distribute this mixture.
- For highlights, apply the mixture on selected areas.
- Cover your hair with a towel or shower cap.
- Leave the mixture for 8 to 10 hours or overnight.
- Rinse your hair in the morning.
4.) Lemon to Bleach Hair at Home:
Lemon has properties which bleach the hair perfectly. It also contains a tangy and fresh fragrance. The acids present in lemon are very strong, so they dry the hair. Make sure after using lemon you use a good hair conditioner.
Steps to Follow:
- Mix two parts of lemon juice and one part of water.
- Rinse your hair with this water.
- Take a sunbath for 2 to 3 hours.
- Within 1 week you will notice the results.
5.) Cinnamon to Bleach Hair:
It is an improbable recipe. Cinnamon is easily available and it’s kitchen thing. It not only bleaches hair but also leaves a sweet aroma.
Steps to Follow:
- Mix half tablespoon of cinnamon powder to a handful of conditioner.
- Mix well and apply evenly on hair from top to bottom.
- You can even use a comb or hair color brush for even distribution.
- Wrap your hair to prevent drying of the mixture.

6.) Baking Soda to Bleach Hair at Home:
Though this is a time taking remedy, but the results are effective. It is a safe lightening agent and also strips out the harmful chemical build up on the hair. With time your hair is going to get lighter naturally.

- Mix equal parts of baking soda and water.
- Apply this thick paste on damp hair for better absorption.
- Sit out in the sun for atleast one hour.
- Wash your hair normally with cold water.
- You can even mix baking soda with your regular conditioner.

7.) Vitamin C to Bleach Hair:
Vitamin C is also known for its bleaching properties. It doesn’t only lighten the hair but also keeps them healthy. You just need to crush 8 to 10 tablets of vitamin C and mix them with your favorite shampoo.
8.) Salt to Bleach at Home:
Salt is also an effective way to bleach hair. It has lightening properties and is 100% safe. In 5 parts of water, mix one part of salt. Rinse your hair with this water and let it stay on your hair for atleast 20 minutes. Shampoo and condition your hair normally.
