Lips are extremely susceptible to drying out much more than other parts of our body. Ways to Make Lip Balm at Home:
1.) Lemon Lime Lip Balm
Lip balm is made from a combination of oils and solid that blend to create a mixture that is spreadable, but it is not liquefied. The oil makes the balm soft and moisturizing, the beeswax helps to stiffen it and the essential oil adds scent. You need to mix the following ingredient together in a bowl to make lip balm at home.
- Take 2 tablespoons of each olive oil, coconut oil and chopped beeswax, and 5 drops of lemon essential oil and 5 drops of lime essential oil
- Pour the mixture into a boiler because lip balm mixture needs to melt down slowly over low heat.
- If you don’t have double Boiler, so you can make your own with two pots. Find a large pot and a smaller pot that can fit inside it. then the larger pot with a few inches of water and place the smaller pot inside. Pour the lip balm mixture into the small pot and take care not to get any water in the pot.
- Turn on the burner under to heat the water and melt the ingredient. Stir them frequently so everything is evenly incorporated.
- Then add your little favorite lipstick, eye shadow, blush if you wish and mix it with a spoon.
- Pour the mixture into a large container.
- You many want to place the newspaper under the container so your work area will be easier to clean up.
- Empty the lip balm tins and tubes or you can purchase from the craft supply stores.
- Let the mixture cool completely. Use the balm and decide how you like the texture. If you want the firmer balm next so you can add more beeswax. If you like it softer so use more oil.
2.) Healing Lip Balm
Healing balm is made up of peppermint and vitamin E to soothe your lip and sinuses when you have a cold. Mix the ingredient together in a bowl to make lip balm at home.
- 2 tablespoon of sweet almond oil, 1 tablespoon of shea butter, 1 tablespoon of chopped beeswax, 5 drops of peppermint oil, 5 drops of vitamin E oil.

Put one teaspoon of petroleum jelly in a bowl and heat the microwave for about 30 seconds. you need to follow these steps to make lip balm at home.
- Put 3 drops of peppermint extract and mix them well and add one teaspoon of honey.
- Pour the mixture into a container with a lid.
- Leave the mixture for overnight.
- Test a little next day and apply with a finger on your lips. If it has set sufficiently then it’s done. Pu the lid on.
4.) Lemon Mint Lip Balm
Put some petroleum jelly in a microwave safe bowl to make lip balm at home.
- Then add some lemon juice and mint leaves on the melted jelly.
- Blend them together with a toothpick and be sure to work quickly.
- If the mixture gets hardened so microwave a little more.
- Pour a mixture into a container of your choice and place it in the freezer for about two minutes, then into the freezer for about 15 minutes
- Keep the balm in the refrigerator when it will be not in use.
5.) Coconut Rose Lip Balm
You will need some petroleum jelly to make lip balm at home. Put some petroleum jelly in a microwave safe bowl.

- Pour the mixture into the container and put it in the freezer for about 5 minutes, then in the refrigerator for about for about 15 minutes.
- Use your lip balm as needed and then again put them in the refrigerator.
9.) Mint Chocolate lip Balm

- To make lip balm at home you will need some chocolate, few mint leaves, and a petroleum jelly

- Put the mixture in a container and then put in the freezer for about 10 minutes and then refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
