Take a few red onion and slice them horizontally into thin slices. Take a bowl and place a red onion slice at the bottom of the bowl. Add a teaspoon of honey over the onion. Again place a red onion slice and cover it with honey. Repeat the process until the bowl is filled up. Cover the bowl and leave it undisturbed for at least 12 hours. After 12 hours a thick syrup like liquid, will be visible at the bottom  of the bowl. Drink two spoonful of this syrup twice a day to get rid of cold.

  • Take half a cup of cumin, fennel, coriander and fenugreek seeds each. Grind them together to obtain a powder. Measure one teaspoon of this powder and add it to a cup of boiling water.

To use this remedy, you just need to take a teaspoon full of honey. You can add some lemon to it for additional benefits.  Alternatively, you can add one teaspoon of raw honey, to one teaspoon of lemon juice and combine them both in a glass of water.
